The Northwest Band Program will feature two ensembles: the Wind Symphony and the Concert Band. These groups are selected by auditions, which are held annually in mid-October.  Comprised of approximately 45 musicians, the Wind Symphony is Northwest High School’s top-auditioned instrumental ensemble and focuses on the fine details of musicality and performance precision. The Concert Band, which is open to all band students, focuses on refining the ensemble skills and tone production of the students. Both bands at Northwest rehearse during first block from November through May.
