The Waukee Northwest Boys had a strong start as a program. The team competed in the Class 4A 5000M race at the Iowa High School Girls & Boys Cross Country Championship in October. Overall, the boys placed 10th in the state, with an average pace of 17:06. Seven runners placed in the top 100 athletes.
