Scott Phaydavong I Named Northwest’s New Strength and Conditioning Coach
Waukee Northwest High School is excited to announce Scott Phaydavong I as our new Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Phaydavong I brings 13 years of coaching experience to the Northwest Weight Room.
“My main goal is to assist in the development of Northwest athletes in becoming the best in the state of Iowa,” shares Phaydavong I. “This will be done by helping prevent injuries and then developing speed, power, strength, and explosiveness through our training methods.”
Phaydavong I was most recently a strength coach at Southeast Polk. He coached athletes in football and track, also serving as the junior high strength and conditioning coach. He’s also made coaching stops at Kuemper Catholic, Urbandale, Chadron State College (Nebraska) and Schwabisch Hall Football (Germany).
He has helped guide several high school athletes to state and national success. Phaydavong I says he’s eager to bring his passion of strength training to Northwest.
“I am looking forward to building great relationships with athletes, students, coaches, and teachers in the Northwest Community,” he says.
Phaydavong I is certified in Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) Level I and Level II. He is already working with athletes in the Waukee Northwest training facilities.
