How did you get into running? When did you start?

I started running in 6th grade because my older brother was also a runner. Watching him compete and have success made me want to run as well.  

What is your favorite thing about teaching and coaching?

Building community among students and athletes.

What is the most rewarding part about your job?

Helping students as they achieve goals they set for themselves.

Who does your family consist of?

My wife Hannah and myself.

Favorite food & restaurant?

Favorite food – Chinese food.  Favorite restaurant – Cool Basil.

Favorite movie & TV show?

Favorite movie – The Shawshank Redemption. Favorite TV show – Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Hobbies outside of teaching & coaching?

Running, biking, reading, house projects, traveling.

If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?

My favorite author, Ryan Holiday.

What is your favorite part about Waukee?

The support that the community provides the schools.
