Dr. Tim Vinyard
Dr. Timothy Vinyard is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, specializing in sports medicine. He is originally from Ottumwa, Iowa, and has been practicing since 2012. Dr. Vinyard is a graduate of Coe College, where he competed in both football and baseball.
Dr. Vinyard’s practice focuses on the non-operative and surgical treatment of professional, amateur and recreational athletes of all ages, sports and activities. He subspecializes in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery.
Throughout his medical training, Dr. Vinyard provided orthopedic coverage for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Twins. Dr. Vinyard is currently the head team physician for the Iowa Wild and the West Des Moines Valley Tigers. Additionally, he provides assistant medical coverage for the Iowa Cubs, Drake University Bulldogs and many other Iowa schools and events. Dr. Vinyard is proud to serve as a board member for the House of Mercy, as well as a volunteer for the Blue Lips Foundation.
Dr. Vinyard and his wife, Erica, have three children. In his free time, Dr. Vinyard enjoys time with his family, golfing, exercising, playing tennis, and attending sporting events.
