Northwest High School Senior Wins Big in Disc Golf

17-year-old Northwest High School Senior Gannon Buhr is one of the world’s best disc golfers.

Earlier this month, the Urbandale native added a big win at the U.S. Disc Golf Championship in South Carolina. He shot -12 in the final round, birdieing the last five holes. According to the USDG, the win means he qualifies for the PDGA Champions Cup, which is slated for April.

Gannon is currently ranked as the fourth-best disc golfer in the world. Congratulations, Gannon!
